We’re planning a smaller wedding and we very much want you to be a part of it! Our goal is to gather those most important to us for several days together of celebration, fun, activities, relaxation, and memories.

Come celebrate with us in Costa Rica from February 25 to March 1, 2026 at Auberge Hacienda Altagracia. It’s a beautiful location in the mountains of Costa Rica’s coffee country.

The wedding will take place on February 27th with a rodeo to follow (really!).

¡Pura Vida!

As part of the 5 days together, there will be opportunities to do coffee tasting, cocktail making, hiking, horseback riding, sunrise yoga and…relaxing! This is an all-inclusive setting (for the most part) and going to be a lot of fun.

Schedule of Events

  • Arrive into SJO in the morning/afternoon and transfer to the resort. The resort will coordinate with you to ensure a smooth arrival experience and follow-on flight to the resort.

    We’ll have a welcome dinner around 6pm.

  • We’ll have some activities programmed for the day including horseback riding and cocktail making. All of this is optional and there is also plenty of time for you to enjoy the property, hike, hang at the pool, etc.

  • Enjoy the morning! We’ll have an optional coffee tasting event in the morning.

    The wedding will take place at 6p at the Establos. The resort will transport you there via cart.

  • Enjoy the day! Relax, go for a hike, book a spa treatment, sleep in…do all of it!

  • Easy morning and departure. You can book your return flight in the afternoon and the hotel will coordinate with you to make sure you’re back to SJO with plenty of time.

 FAQs

  • The celebration will start on February 25th and conclude on March 1, 2026.

  • Everything takes place at Auberge Hacienda AltaGracia. It’s structured as an all-inclusive resort and we won’t be leaving the property.

  • The easiest way to arrive is to fly into San José, Costa Rica (SJO). From there, the resort will arrange for transfer via private charter flight (yes, really) directly to the airstrip on the property. There is no additional cost for this.

    Note the following charter flight schedule when booking your flights. There is some flexibility, but there are limitations on when the flights can depart from SJO and the resort (ALG).

    • Scheduled charter flights from SJO to ALG depart daily at 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM

    • Scheduled charter flights from ALG to SJO depart daily at 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM

  • To book a reservation, call Hacienda AltaGracia at 855-812-2212 and let them know you’re part of the “Amy Liesemeyer and Lanty O'Connor Wedding Celebration.”

    You’ll want to make your reservation as soon as possible since it is a smaller resort and we haven’t blocked rooms.

    We’ve negotiated a rate of $1,315 per night (based on double-occupancy) + 23% tax. This is all-inclusive other than alcohol, spa services and individually-booked activities.

  • The room rate is inclusive of:

    • TRANSPORTATION | Shared domestic charter flights to and from SJO directly to resort airstrip for two persons, offered twice daily

    • FOOD & BEVERAGE | All meals and non-alcoholic beverages

    • PROGRAMING | Daily adventure and wellness programming

    • WELLNESS | Use of Fitness Center and Casa de Agua wellbeing center, including clay ritual, sauna, steam room, and pre-arrival virtual wellness consultation

    • ADVENTURE | Access to various hiking trails in our secondary forest

    • PERSONALIZED STAYS | A dedicated Compa – your experience designer and guest liaison

    • In-room amenities and fresh local coffee provided each morning

  • Yes! It’s a beautiful property and you’re welcome to arrive earlier or stay later. Our room rate is valid from February 18th to March 8th.

  • No, you need to be a guest of the resort to join us for the celebration. It’s a unique resort in a more rural location and there are not other lodging options nearby.

  • No question, this is an expensive experience at a five-star all-inclusive resort.

    We’ve negotiated a substantial discount with the resort to make this as accessible as possible.

    We understand this is a significant expense and we completely understand if you’re not able to join us and we’re in no way hurt, offended, etc if you cannot join us. We still love you and we’ll see you soon!

  • For the wedding itself, the dress guidance is cocktail attire.

    The welcome dinner is elevated casual.

  • No! We sincerely do not want gifts. Your presence is your present.

    And this isn’t some “oh, we’re saying we don’t want gifts but you can kinda Venmo us money…” No! Just come join us and help us make some new memories with our favorite people.

  • No! While we love your kids, the event is just not designed to accommodate children.

    Amy grew up in Tucson, AZ and worked as a wrangler at several ranches before moving to Chicago to be with the man of her dreams (Lanty wrote this). She now works as a drug dealer (pharma rep)…similar but different to life on the range!
